Rome, 26 May (LaPresse) – After upholding the arrests of the eight ultras detained in connection with the clashes ahead of the Torino-Juventus derby, the court in the Piedmontese capital released them, imposing the precautionary measure of requiring them to report to the judicial police to sign in. The charges against them range from affray and resisting arrest to the dangerous throwing of objects. In parallel with the case concerning the clashes before the Turin derby, the Turin Public Prosecutor’s Office has opened a separate investigation, currently against persons unknown, into the alleged offence of grievous bodily harm, relating to the injury of Marco Leonardo Basoccu, the 36-year-old Juventus Viking ultras supporter who was seriously injured in the head after being struck by a blunt object thrown at him.
