Sannazaro: 60 people evacuated, no injuries

Naples, 17 February (LaPresse) – Twenty-two homes were cleared and around 60 people evacuated following a fire that destroyed the Sannazaro Theatre in Via Chiaia, Naples, this morning. From a health perspective, four people were treated at the scene and another four were taken to the Vecchio Pellegrini and Fatebenefratelli hospitals for smoke inhalation checks. No injuries were reported. The Prefect of Naples, Michele di Bari, immediately convened the Rescue Coordination Centre, which was attended by the Campania Region’s Councillor for Civil Protection, Fiorella Zabatta, the Director of ASL Napoli 1 Centro, Gaetano Gubitosa, the Director of ARPAC, Dario Mirella, representatives of the Fire Brigade, the Municipality of Naples, ABC and E-Distribuzione services, as well as the police.
