A-levels: Latin in classical studies, mathematics in scientific studies

Milan, 30 January (LaPresse) – The subjects for the 2026 school-leaving examination have been published: for the second written test, Latin translation has been selected for classical high schools and mathematics for scientific high schools. Other subjects for the second written exam are humanities at humanities high schools; business economics for technical institutes in the economic sector specialising in “Administration, Finance and Marketing”; tourism and business disciplines for technical institutes in the economic sector specialising in “Tourism”; design, construction and facilities for the “Construction, Environment and Territory” specialisation. The subjects of the written exam are indicated in Decree No. 13 of 29/1/2026, signed by the Minister of Education and Merit Giuseppe Valditara.
