Rome, 25 January (LaPresse) – After learning of his parents’ death, Claudio Carlomagno reportedly expressed suicidal thoughts. LaPresse learned this from prison sources. The same sources report that the man, crying in his cell in Civitavecchia prison, where he is being held for the murder of his wife, Federica Torzullo, killed in Anguillara Sabazia in the province of Rome, continues to repeat, “I want to kill myself, but I don’t have the courage”. Carlomagno is currently confined to a cell without furnishings: he wears paper underwear and has been given only a blanket for the cold, as required by protocols in cases of self-harm risk. Carlomagno says he is “desperate” over the death of his parents, but shows no remorse for killing his wife and has asked to see his son.
