Rome, 30 November (LaPresse) – Pope Leo XIV arrived at the Presidential Palace in Beirut for a courtesy visit to the President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun. The Pontiff arrived in the popemobile and greeted the faithful waiting in heavy rain. The Pope was also welcomed by a traditional dance group (dabke) and a light show with a projection. Among the elements projected were the word “peace” written in different languages and the logo of the apostolic journey. The Pope applauded.
