Pifferi case: sentence reduced to 24 years on appeal, mitigating circumstances granted

Milan, 5 November (LaPresse) – Reduced sentence on appeal for Alessia Pifferi. The Milan Court of Appeal has partially overturned the life sentence handed down in the first instance and sentenced the 40-year-old woman to 24 years’ imprisonment for aggravated voluntary manslaughter for abandoning her 18-month-old daughter, Diana, for six days in her home in Via Parea in Milan on 14 July 2022, leaving her to die of hunger and thirst.
