Rieti, Piantedosi: ‘Hooligans looking for excuses to cause violence’

Milan, 20 October (LaPresse) – “The tragedy in Rieti has caused dismay and anger. An innocent victim lost his life in absurd circumstances, at the hands of self-styled fans who are in reality nothing more than hooligans looking for an excuse to cause violence and disorder: criminals who have nothing to do with the passion and values on which sport is based, especially a noble discipline such as basketball.” So said Home Secretary Matteo Piantedosi.
