Rome, Sept. 24 (LaPresse) – The inmate who attacked Filippo Turetta at the end of August has been transferred to Treviso prison. The assault took place inside the Montorio Veronese correctional facility, where Turetta is being held for the murder of Giulia Cecchettin. According to LaPresse, the transfer occurred early this morning for security reasons.
The incident happened during a social interaction among inmates and, although it did not cause serious physical harm to Turetta, it immediately triggered disciplinary measures. According to reconstructions, Turetta had been moved to a unit with common inmates when the attacker, a 55-year-old prisoner, punched him. The aggressor was subsequently placed in solitary confinement.
