Bad weather, Councillor Granelli: ‘Already 80 mm of rain in Milan’

Rome, 22 September (LaPresse) – Heavy rain is currently affecting Lombardy and, in particular, the Milan area. On Facebook, the Councillor for Security and Civil Protection, Marco Granelli, reported: “Rain in the city and to the north from 2:00 a.m. onwards, becoming heavier from 5:00 a.m. 30 mm in the northern part of the city, and more than 80 mm in Paderno Dugnano and Seveso, less for now in Monza with 20 mm. Underpass monitoring is active in the city, and in the Ponte Lambro district, mobile barriers were put in place at 6 a.m. as a precaution, and monitoring of sewer and Lambro levels, which are still low for now, has been activated. The storms will continue intensely throughout the morning. Maximum caution is recommended.”
