Viterbo: digs hole on beach and is swallowed up, 17-year-old dies

Rome, July 10 (LaPresse) – A 17-year-old boy named R.B. died after being buried alive in the sand while digging a hole on the beach at Montalto di Castro. The young man, together with his two younger brothers, had dug a deep hole near the Villaggio California campsite, where he was vacationing with his parents. The Carabinieri from Tuscania intervened at the scene. The Public Prosecutor’s Office of Civitavecchia is investigating.
