Trump denies any responsibilities of "inciting insurrection" for the insurrection at Capitol Hill

President Donald Trump toured a section of the US-Mexico border wall in Alamo, Texas early this Tuesday. Trump asserted that this wall has saved countless lives and billions of tax dollars. Moreover, he autographed a plaque on the barrier with his name engraved on it.

“We are stopping in large numbers the drugs coming into the country for many years and decades, we are stopping a lot of illegal immigration” Trump said about the construction of the US-Mexico wall.

Regarding the rally, held Wednesday before the crowd stormed Capitol Hill, Trump called it “entirely appropriate”, denying the responsibilities of “inciting insurrection” that were blamed on him. During his visit in Texas he underlined this point: “We want no violence and on the impeachment is a continuation of the greatest witch hunt of the history of politics” and he continued “is of zero risk to me but will come back to haunt Joe Biden and the Biden administration”.

The text of the impeachment seems to be ready and the House could vote on it as early as Wednesday. However, the timing of the passage to the Senate remains uncertain. Democratic leader Charles Schumer called on majority leader Mitch McConnell to immediately reconvene the upper house to allow its validation before Joe Biden’s inauguration day.
