This past week has been an extremely strained time for the entire nation. It was no less tense also for President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence.  Their alliance seemed to be shaking when Pence decided to still attend the new president’s inauguration that will happen on  the 20 of January, while Trump will be the first president since Andrew Johnson in 1869 to skip the ceremony. Trump has previously twitted, before his account was suspended, that Pence “lacked courage” as the president’s supporters stormed the Capitol.

All of these facts seems to be unpromising, however the senior administration official has reported they had a peaceful meeting in the Oval Office on Monday evening and discussed the week ahead and talked about their accomplishments over Trump’s term of office.
