Italian elections: protestors confront right-wing leader Meloni in Palermo

Some protesters showed signs reading "Income is not to be touched" or "on my body I decide," shouting at the leader of Fratelli d'Italia.

One young man was later taken to police headquarters by police officers. Some 30 militants from Palermo’s antagonist area took part in the protest: officers intervened after the young man threw a bottle at officers deployed on Via Ruggero Settimo. The protesters then tried to reach the square where Meloni was speaking, forcing their way through the police cordon.
