The backpack of little Mattia, the 8-year-old boy reported missing after the flood that brought the Marche region to its knees on Thursday, has been found, according to reports. The backpack was found along the road between Ripalta di Arcevia and Castelleone di Suasa about 8 km away from the spot where Mattia was snatched from his mother’s arms by the violent fury of the water.
Meanwhile, the Urbino Public Prosecutor’s Office led by Prosecutor Andrea Boni has opened an investigation file for culpable flooding with reference to the flood that hit the Marche region and in particular the territory of Cantiano over which the prosecutor’s office has jurisdiction. The file is against unknown persons and was opened ex officio following the events of September 15.
