A van plunged into a sinkhole in the Bronx as floods damaged New York City streets

(LaPresse) A WABC-TV camera in New York City captured the exact moment a van suddenly plunged into a sinkhole in the Bronx neighborhood of the American city. The TV station reports that the sinkhole formed after heavy rains hit the area in the past few days.

According to the National Weather Service, the rains caused flash flooding, temporarily closed roads and highways, and stranded motorists in areas of New York City, the northern suburbs, and northeastern New Jersey.
