Paris (France), July 30 (LaPresse) – George Clooney said that his family was forced to evacuate their home in southeastern France because of a wildfire that broke out nearby. The Hollywood star announced it in a letter addressed to Didier Bremond, mayor of the town of Brignoles, located about 90 kilometers east of Marseille, his publicist Guido Gotz said in an email sent to the Associated Press. The letter, which opens with the words “Dear Didier,” reads: “At this moment, we have no idea whether our beautiful home will survive this terrible ordeal.” The actor added that the family wanted to “emphasize two things. The first is that we hope you and the people of our town are safe; the second is that Amal (his wife, ed.) and I are determined to ensure that, whatever happens to our village, we are part of this community and will help rebuild it and restore it.”
