Ursula Andress claims she was defrauded of €20 million

Frankfurt (Germany), 23 January (LaPresse) – Ursula Andress, 89, the iconic first Bond girl in history, famous for her role as Honey Rider in Dr. No alongside Sean Connery, has reported that she has been defrauded of approximately €20 million. Her management team made the announcement, explaining that the case involves her former asset manager, Eric Freymond, who is now deceased. “I am still in shock. I was chosen as a victim and for eight years I was deceived and manipulated in a perfidious, even criminal way, to take everything away from me. I worked all my life and saved carefully, and now everything has been stolen from me,” Andress herself told the Swiss newspaper Blick. According to the complaint, the fraud involved investments in dubious shares and purchases of works of art without her consent, also managed by Freymond’s wife. The value and destination of these works remain unknown. Freymond had already been investigated in the past for alleged embezzlement of the estate of Hermès heir Nicolas Puech. In July 2025, he admitted some responsibility, and two weeks later he committed suicide. According to Andress’s management, the judicial authorities of the canton of Vaud searched the offices of lawyers and notaries involved in the case to clarify civil and criminal liability. The lawyer involved denies any wrongdoing, while the notary has invoked professional secrecy. The famous actress, who now lives in Rome in complete privacy, added: “I hope that those responsible will be punished to the full extent of the law. I feel really bad”.
