Rome, Oct. 26 (LaPresse) – “The Guarantor for the protection of personal data, in relation to the latest press reports, reaffirms the full independence of judgment and freedom of determination of its members. For the sake of clarity, it should be noted that each proceeding is investigated by the offices, which, following the investigation, prepare a draft measure, which is then presented by the reporting member to the Board (Art. 15 Regulation 1/2000). This proposal may therefore be approved or rejected by the Board, which may agree or disagree with its content. This was stated by the Privacy Guarantor in a note regarding the statements made by Sigfrido Ranucci, according to whom the Guarantor “acts on political input” against Report and “we will prove it in the investigation that will be broadcast tonight.”
