No one was gored by bulls this year
(LaPresse) Pamplona returned to host the traditional running of the bulls at the San Firmino festival after a three-year forced stop due to pandemic. The race took place without any serious incidents. No one was gored among the runners, although there was no shortage of bumps and heavy falls. Six bulls crossed the streets of Pamplona in about 2 minutes and 35 seconds without causing too much damage among the thousands of people who crowded the route. Several runners were pushed onto the pavement, but no one was pierced by any of the running bulls’ horns. According to the Pamplona hospital only five people were hospitalized after the run, none in code red. In the last San Firmino festival in 2019, eight people had been gored. Sixteen people have lost their lives during bull runs since 1910.
