(LaPresse) – SAC, the company managing Catania Airport, has announced that, due to volcanic ash being emitted into the atmosphere and the direction of prevailing winds at high altitude, the airspace corresponding to sectors C1 and B3 has been closed. Flights arriving at and departing from Catania Airport are suspended until 10.00 pm local time on 14 September.
