Milan, 24 Aug. (LaPresse) – Regarding a possible further cut in fuel excise duties, “at this moment, Giorgia Meloni has not called a meeting of the Council of Ministers. We are assessing the matter; we are in contact not only with the Minister for the Economy, but several departments are also looking into the issue. Because the issue, as we all realise, is extremely sensitive.” This was stated by the Minister for the Environment and Energy Security, Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, speaking to journalists on the sidelines of the Rimini Meeting. “The issue is on the table, but we will assess what to do in the coming hours,” added Pichetto.
