Fuel: Ministerial decree on variable excise duties – 17 cent discount until 26 August

Rome, 23 Aug. (LaPresse) – The 17-cent discount on diesel has been extended by two days, until 26 August. The Minister for the Economy, Giancarlo Giorgetti, in consultation with the Minister for the Environment, Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, has signed the ministerial decree activating the ‘floating excise duty’ mechanism, which utilises the additional VAT revenue, thereby extending the reduction provided for in the latest excise duty decree, which was due to expire on 24 August.
