Milan, Aug. 6 (LaPresse) – In the week ending Aug. 1, the preliminary seasonally adjusted figure for initial unemployment insurance claims in the U.S. was 199,000, an increase of 1,000 from the revised figure for the previous week. This was reported by the U.S. Department of Labor. The figure for the previous week was therefore revised upward from 197,000 to 198,000.
