The FS Group said in a statement that the Board of Directors of Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane, chaired by Chairman Tommaso Tanzilli, today approved the FS Group’s consolidated half-year financial report for the six-month period ended June 30, 2026. “Total operating revenues increased to €8.9 billion, up €678 million compared with the first half of 2025, attributable to higher revenues from rail and road infrastructure services (+€214 million) and Other revenues (+€489 million), offset by lower transport revenues (-€25 million),” the FS Group statement continued. “Operating costs amounted to around €8 billion, up €764 million compared with the same period last year, due to higher personnel costs and higher variable costs related to the provision of transport services, maintenance and infrastructure management.” “As a result of the revenue and cost dynamics described above,” the statement added, “EBITDA amounted to €905 million (€991 million as of June 30, 2025), while EBIT stood at -€58 million (€77 million as of June 30, 2025), with the change reflecting higher depreciation, amortisation, impairments and value adjustments amounting to €49 million.”
