Rome, 6 June (LaPresse) – “We had announced from the outset that” the cut in excise duties “would be a temporary measure, extended on a case-by-case basis if necessary, in order to counter the impact of fuel costs on inflation. I note that both diesel and petrol are now below €2, and prices are falling steadily. In this context, I believe we need to continue with measures that are increasingly tailored to actual market trends, particularly for the benefit of households, the road haulage sector and businesses for which energy prices have the greatest impact on production costs.” So said the Minister for Enterprise and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso, in an interview with Milano Finanza.
