ECB: ‘Increase in defence spending may push up inflation in the medium term’

Milan, 19 February (LaPresse) – ‘The planned increase in defence and infrastructure spending could also push up inflation in the medium term. Extreme weather events, and more generally the unfolding climate and environmental crisis, could lead to higher-than-expected increases in food prices.’ This is according to the European Central Bank’s Bulletin.
