Florence, 30 October (LaPresse) – ‘The economy has continued to grow despite the difficult global environment. The strength of the labour market, the solidity of private sector balance sheets and past interest rate cuts by the Governing Council remain important factors underpinning the resilience of the economy.’ This is what we read in the ECB press release issued at the end of the Governing Council meeting in Florence. ‘The outlook remains uncertain, mainly due to the current global trade disputes and geopolitical tensions.’ The Governing Council of the European Central Bank has decided to leave key interest rates unchanged. This is the third consecutive pause.
