Manoeuvre, Lollobrigida: ‘CGIL first among pensioners, they have time to demonstrate’

Rome, 25 October (LaPresse) – “Today, CGIL is the leading trade union thanks to its ability to represent the important world of pensioners, while CISL is the leading trade union for those currently in employment. There is no insinuation against CGIL and the fact that they have plenty of time to protest. More than they had in the past when things were worse for those they were supposed to represent, namely workers.” This was stated by Agriculture Minister Francesco Lollobrigida on the sidelines of the FdI event to celebrate three years of government, responding to a question about the CGIL demonstration scheduled for today. “Today,” he added, “in a country with the highest level of permanent employment, we would expect some trade unions to take note of this and occasionally point out that they could have demonstrated earlier, achieving better results than they did with the centre-left governments, towards which they had a somewhat different approach”.
