Manoeuvre: Giorgetti, growth in short-term rentals has made it harder to find a home

Rome, 22 October (LaPresse) – “One of the factors that has contributed to the increasing difficulty in finding accommodation in recent years, especially in large cities, has been the rise in short-term rentals, particularly for tourism purposes. For this reason, it was decided to include in the budget bill a specific tax regulation concerning leases concluded through real estate brokers or through entities that manage online portals.” This was stated by Economy Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti in response to a question during question time in the Chamber of Deputies.
