Tariffs, Lollobrigida: ‘Together with the Foreign Ministry, we support pasta producers’ opposition’

Rome, 15 October (LaPresse) – “The United States is the second largest export market for Italian pasta after Germany, and we are therefore closely monitoring the US administration’s anti-dumping measures, which could impose serious penalties on our producers. Together with Minister Tajani and the Foreign Ministry task force, we are working to support companies in the opposition procedure and to coordinate negotiations with the US Department of Commerce, also involving the commission.” This was stated by Agriculture Minister Francesco Lollobrigida in response to a question from the Lega party during question time in the Chamber of Deputies on the possibility of additional US tariffs on pasta.
