Milan, Sept 17 (LaPresse) – The annual inflation rate in the Euro area stood at 2.0% in August 2025, unchanged from July. In August 2024, the rate was 2.2%. The data was released by Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union.
The annual inflation rate for the EU as a whole was 2.4%, also stable compared to July. The lowest annual rates were recorded in Cyprus (0.0%), France (0.8%), and Italy (1.6%). The highest were seen in Romania (8.5%), Estonia (6.2%), and Croatia (4.6%).
Compared to July 2025, annual inflation decreased in nine Member States, remained stable in four, and increased in fourteen.
