Control tower let both jets take off.

After reportedly colliding on the taxiway at New York’s Kennedy International Airport, a Boeing 777-200 from Air France, and an Airbus A330-200 belonging to Italian flag carrier Ita both returned to their home bases in Europe without incident. The incident was reported by the captain of the Air France flight to the control tower, which nevertheless gave the green light for the Ita aircraft to take off. The US air traffic controllers then asked the captain of the Italian aircraft if he had suffered damage, receiving a negative response. The Ita flight landed in Rome Fiumicino, as planned.
