Milan, 11 July (LaPresse) – “We have learnt via X from political authorities, rather than from the relevant technical authorities, of decisions taken regarding the European Commission’s European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) grant to the Venice Biennale.” The Venice Biennale stated this in a press release. “The Biennale wishes to state that it has responded within the stipulated timeframe to all points raised in the third letter received from the EACEA on this matter, and that it is awaiting a formal technical note from the EACEA in order to assess any possible next steps and put forward its case in all the relevant forums. In any event, the programmes in question are continuing, as they are only marginally co-financed by the aforementioned grant,” the statement reads.
