(LaPresse) Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with soldiers in the town of Balakliya, which was recaptured by Russian forces. He thanked the soldiers and called them “heroic people.” Footage shot by the Ukrainian Presidential Office showed Zelenskyy presenting military awards to soldiers. Balakliya, a town of 25,000 in Kharkiv region, had been occupied by Russian troops since March. Ukrainian soldiers then recaptured it recently.
