Military vehicles and drone highlighted French efforts to support Ukraine
(LaPresse) France celebrates its national holiday with a classic military parade on the Champs-Elysées: thousands of French troops marched down the famous avenue along with Eastern European allies. President Emmanuelle Macron was present. The event, as is traditional, also involved warplanes, military vehicles, and a drone in a display that highlighted France’s power and its efforts to support Ukraine. The celebrations were also designed to highlight Paris’ commitment to NATO and the European allies most affected by the war in Ukraine. Indeed, troops from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, and Hungary marched at the head of the parade with their national flags.
