Attack was first on capital in over a month
(LaPresse) On Sunday the Ukrainian authorities took journalists to the scene of a Russian attack in Kiev, the first in the city since the end of April. The officials’ goal was to deny reports from Moscow that the targeted building was used to repair and store tanks delivered from Europe. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the attacks on the outskirts of the capital destroyed tanks and other armored vehicles located in an auto repair company. The advisor to the office of President Volodymyr Zelensky, Serhiy Leshchenko, said instead that the affected plant was civilian and produced railway vehicles. Officials, however, did not mention another nearby site that was hit on Sunday morning.
