Alberto Genovese was sentenced to eight years and four months in prison. This was decided by a Milan magistrate in an abbreviated trial. The former web entrepreneur is accused of raping two models, after rendering them unconscious with a mix of drugs: one 18-year-old during a party on October 10, 2020 at his Terrazza Sentimento penthouse in Milan, the other 23-year-old guest at a luxury villa in Ibiza the previous July. The magistrate also granted a provisional award of 50,000 euros to the 18-year-old: the girl’s lawyer had asked for compensation of more than 1.96 million euros.
