The goal is to vaccinate more than 11 million people

Jordan has started vaccinating the population against the coronavirus.

Healthcare workers and vulnerable people were among the first to receive the injection, both with the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine and the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine. The goal is to vaccinate at least 20 percent of the population, more than 10.5 million people, said Wael Hayajneh, Secretary General of the Ministry of Health for Epidemiological Affairs and the official responsible for the COVID-19 crisis. More than 150,000 people have signed up to receive the coronavirus vaccine.
